Getting Cozy for Fall
A couple weeks ago, Annie was invited to a Twitter party hosted by the always fab Amy of ABCD Design, for a lively chat about cozy fall décor—including how to change up your bedding look (Annie likes to add a fuzzy blanket and some textural pillows), and how to incorporate fall-inspired items without looking contrived (skip the pumpkins and spiderwebs, but mix in some seasonal colors in the accents). The chat featured a wealth of inspiring ideas from Annie and dozens of knowledgeable tweeters, plus a pretty sweet selection of prizes, like a Dash & Albert Stone Soup tote bag, Pine Cone Hill flannel Jacks pj’s and Sheepy Fleece robe, snazzy decorative pillows, and more.
In the spirit of all things cozy for autumn, here’s a bit of decorating inspiration, courtesy of Elle Decor. Designed by Michael S. Smith for model Cindy Crawford, this master bedroom is warm and inviting, thanks to textural touches like the nubby Moroccan rugs, tufted chaise, dark woods, plush bedding, and richly detailed embroidered quilt. Oh, and the stone fireplace doesn’t hurt either.
Stay tuned for details on other chats, coming soon!
